LIKES DEALER

 

Likes-Dealer is a site-specific performance, commissioned by Albin Hillervik and Jari Malta for the exhibition spelling slipping ellipsis, which they curated at Lunds Konsthall in 2023. In the performance, Gies collects gestures from their extensive repertoire to create new patterns and choreographies. The body is treated as a fluid being shaped by the music and architecture that surrounds it. Likes-Dealer creates unexpected peepholes between the techno club and Klas Anshelm's modernist building.
